She is the Founder of “Unique Lactation Services, Ltd”, and has worked with thousands of women both in the UK (United Kingdom-Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales) and Africa (Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya) offering solutions to specific breastfeeding problems, customized Lactation services and skilled breastfeeding support, instruction, and advice.
Nono Mwimbi’s focus and service has always been the health of the babies and the wellbeing of the mother, incorporating important support from extended family members, spouses, partners or parents.
Nono Mwimbi is also an outstanding executive coach and an acclaimed speaker on topics related to Lactation, Breastfeeding Management, Healthy births-healthy babies (Midwife) and health.
Education, Experience and Professional Work:
Nono Mwimbi is well-trained and has the experience to help you in your Lactation journey, offering advice and support and answering any questions you may have.
Nono Mwimbi is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and she is a Registered Nurse (RN) as well as a Registered Midwife (RM). She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BN), a Diploma in Key Skills for Managers, and has an MBA (master’s degree in business management).
She first trained as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Midwifery in Botswana in 1992 and later she relocated to the United Kingdom in 1999. She continued to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the United Kingdom from 1999 to current and in 2001, she became a Registered Midwife (RM). Later, she took the training and certification exams needed and passed to become an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Nono has been supporting women with breastfeeding problems and concerns from 1996 when studying midwifery in Botswana, to the present day. She has been actively helping her church community with breastfeeding support through their different challenging breastfeeding issues. She personally breastfed her daughter for 2 years.
